Based on a true story, SUBPRIME chronicles the life of Jason Vintulani as he goes from boiler room floor to mortgage room floor to owning and controlling his own bank with more than 2 billion dollars a year in subprime loans. On a handshake, he expands his business with a loan from a not-so-retired mob boss named Don Maggio, who sees the lucrative potential in the market. But as defaults, straw buyers and inflated appraisals pile up, Jason finds himself in a situation he can't scam his way out of... or can he?

The Next Hollywood Blockbuster is the American Idol of movie making, designed to put writers, directors and actors in the spotlight and discover tomorrow's major talents. Open cattle-call style auditions give America's writers, directors and actors the chance to get in front of a Judges Panel of industry professionals and celebrity guest judges. Ten competitors in each category work together on short film elimination challenges, completed films air for America to vote on, and America chooses the winner in the Finals.
